Select the odds format you currently have: Decimal Odds, Fractional Odds or American Odds.
Enter the odds and select Convert Odds. The calculator will show the equivalent decimal, fractional and American odds, together with the implied probability.

What Are Decimal Odds?
Decimal odds show the total potential return for every R1 staked, including the original stake.
For example, decimal odds of 2.50 mean that a R100 stake would have a potential return of R250 if the bet wins.
If you want to calculate the potential return from your stake and odds, use our Bet Payout Calculator South Africa.
What Are Fractional Odds?
Fractional odds are commonly written in a format such as 3/2, 2/1 or 5/1.
They express potential profit relative to the stake. For example, fractional odds of 3/2 represent R3 of potential profit for every R2 staked.
Our converter can automatically convert fractional odds into decimal and American odds.
What Are American Odds?
American odds normally appear with either a plus (+) or minus (-) sign.
Positive American odds, such as +150, indicate the potential profit relative to a 100-unit stake.
Negative American odds, such as -200, indicate the stake required to generate 100 units of potential profit.
For example:
+150 = Decimal 2.50
-200 = Decimal 1.50
You do not need to calculate these conversions manually. Enter the American odds into the calculator above and select Convert Odds.
What Is Implied Probability?
Implied probability converts betting odds into a percentage representing the probability implied by those odds.
For decimal odds, the basic calculation is:
Implied Probability = (1 ÷ Decimal Odds) × 100
For example:
Decimal odds: 2.50
1 ÷ 2.50 × 100 = 40%
This means odds of 2.50 correspond mathematically to an implied probability of 40%.
Implied probability is derived from the odds and does not mean there is actually a 40% chance that the outcome will happen. Bookmaker pricing and margins can also affect the odds offered.
