How to Use the Accumulator Calculator

Enter the amount you want to stake in South African rand (R), then enter the decimal odds for each selection in your accumulator. Use the + Add Selection button if your accumulator contains more selections. When you are ready, select Calculate to see your combined odds, potential return and potential profit.

You can remove selections or reset the calculator and start again. The result is a mathematical calculation based on the numbers you enter and does not predict whether your selections will win.

How Are Accumulator Winnings Calculated?

An accumulator combines two or more selections into a single bet. The decimal odds of each selection are multiplied together to calculate the combined odds. Your stake is then multiplied by the combined odds to calculate the potential return.

For example, if three selections have decimal odds of 1.50, 2.20 and 1.80, the combined odds are:

1.50 × 2.20 × 1.80 = 5.94

If your stake is R100, the potential return is:

R100 × 5.94 = R594

The potential profit is therefore R494, because the R100 original stake is included in the R594 potential return.

Potential Return vs Potential Profit

Potential return is the total amount calculated from your stake and combined decimal odds. It includes your original stake.

Potential profit is the amount remaining after your original stake is deducted from the potential return.

For example, a R100 stake with a potential return of R594 has a potential profit of R494.

What Happens if One Selection Loses?

In a standard accumulator, all selections generally need to be successful for the accumulator to win. If one selection loses, the overall accumulator normally loses. The treatment of void, cancelled, postponed or otherwise unsettled selections can depend on the bookmaker’s rules, so check the applicable betting and settlement rules.
