How Is a Bet Payout Calculated?
A potential bet payout using decimal odds is calculated by multiplying your stake by the decimal odds.
For example, if you stake R250 at decimal odds of 4.50:
R250 × 4.50 = R1,125
Your potential return is therefore R1,125.
Because the potential return includes your original R250 stake, your potential profit would be:
R1,125 − R250 = R875
Potential Return vs Potential Profit
Potential return is the total calculated amount, including your original stake.
Potential profit is the amount remaining after your original stake is deducted from the potential return.
For example, if you stake R100 at odds of 3.00, the potential return is R300 and the potential profit is R200.
